Neither. 2DS is a two screen tablet and there is no such thing as a 2DS XL.

Only New 2DS XLs exist. "New" is part of the name and matters because only the "New" systems have access to all of the games and slightly more power for games that know to use it.

A hypothetical 2DS XL wouldn't have the extra power.

it's a New Nintendo 2DS XL

it was the last model released in the 2DS/3DS line before we got the Switch.
