But this wasn't a 3rd version was it? It was a re-release of two more versions that basicslly said "Thanks for paying $40 to beta test the last game, now give us another $40 for one that still isn't totally finished but is much closer lol". And IIRit came out a lot faster than every other 3rd version has in the past.
Had anyone other than GF done this it would have been called out and hammered hard.... Remember how much shit Capcom took for UMvC3, so much so that they were forced to slice it's price in half? And they had the earthquake excuse (retarded as that was). Even Nintendo takes more shit with their WiiU ports on Switch.
This wasn't as shitty as "Pokemon eclipse version" or something would have been. It was even sleazier than that, and the ease with which they got away with it has led directly to the shitshow that is LGPE and SwSh.
