This, except I'm emulating it. The regions themselves are always my favorite part of a Pokemon game and are my main reasons for getting hyped for new games. If the games weren't a new region, I wouldn't be hyped for these games at all.

It literally doesn’t. There’s much more to hate about the game than the cutting of pokemon, regardless of what you want to believe. I’m excited for the game and will get it when it comes out but I’m not blind to all of its problems.

No there isn't. It's entirely about cutting the Pokemon. Even when ORAS came out people weren't this autistic about boycotting it despite it being a far worse game.

Graphically, it isn't bad, but the way it currently looks simply doesn't justify cutting the dex, despite re-using old shit. Not only that, but the Wild Area still looks like trash, Pokémon also looks like a joke, models aren't even scaled in battle and there are plenty of pop-in and draw distance issues. What they've shown us doesn't stand up to the quality they've shown us and represents the highest grossing franchise on this planet very poorly.

After this interview i became more confident about the game, because James Turner is art director.

I dont know if he's good or not, but i know he probably did his fucking best because the region is based on his country, so it's probably well done
On the opposite with Kalos where i bet not a single french worked on this because i hated the way they depicted France (and i live in Paris) it was as if it was a japanese person who never went to France tried to describe it, so Kalos really looked stupid as fuck

It was the concept art of the player character's house that sold me. Specifically the kitchen; whose layout is spot-on to the kitchens of most UK homes. It conjured up such a vivid image that I'm actually looking forward to seeing more UK elements peppered throughout the game and mentally going "Oh shit that's neat as fuck", as a Brit myself.

Yep, really excited for release. It seems like a massive step up from past Pokemon titles. I'm glad they have a genuine cultural reference to work from in James Turner, so it's going to be fun identifying different nuances throughout the region that belong to the UK.
