Why do they almost always pick the most disgusting color schemes for shiny Pokemon? I can count on my hands the number of Shiny Pokemon that actually look good. Pic related is two of them.

They rarely put thought into the shiny colors, it's probably just "adjust RGB values by 50 for main color, adjust by 60 for secondary color"

Umbreon is good too, with its gold accents switched for blue. The subtler the shines are the better they look. Too many are gaudy and look like puke.

I guess reading comprehension isn't your thing. You see the thread posed the question as to why so few shinies actually look good. Another anon gave an explanation for this stating that the color of shinies is automated, I then replied to that comment by saying that I didn't know that shiny colors were automated. Then I followed that up by saying that the Tapus are examples of good looking shinies of which there were so few of. Stay in school please.

Most shinies are just color inversions with no real effort put into them.

why do people say words they dont understand? I dont think I can think of a single shiny that inverts the colors, inverted gyrados would be orange, not red. Shinies as I understand were shifted in color based on the order of the colors in the old gba games

It used to be an automated process where the colors where shifted to the next color in the coding, so blue turned to purple, except for the few pokemon they must have done manually such as gyrados turning red instead of pink/purple
