>>40331197>Regardless, people will still go to the Wild Area for Max Raid Battles, just as people went through Ultra Wormholes and Ultra Spaces just for those artificial doors to battle Pokemon. >Curry is the new pokémon refresh that also has nothing to do with wild area/routes.Wild Area is where the majority of the ingredients for curry are found, both from the environment and from other NPCs. Pokemon Camp also seems to mostly take place in the Wild Area, and you can only visit camps inside the Wild Area, so the multiplayer Camp is exclusive to Wild Area.
>Hours of gameplay for who exactly? I don't like any of these recycled features. I want story, side quest, and interesting characters in the wild area.At least for me, I will spend hours just trying to catch as many Pokemon in the Wild Area as possible. There seems to be a large selection, both inside the Wild Area and Max Raid Battles, and many of those are both time and weather dependent so there's a lot of replay value. (Many Pokemon in Wild Area can be unlocked there if you catch them in Max Raid Battles, including trade evolutions.)
As for side quests, Masuda said something along those lines about how SWSH will be their opportunity to put in the features and side quests that they couldn't implement in past games because trying to get all of the Pokemon in was the priority. Some of those side quests might be tied to the Wild Area.
>I want to see actual pokémon in their actual habitat. Not a freaking Haunter popping out of the ground.A lot of enemies spawn out of nowhere in RPGs. Game Freak's issue is that the spawn happens on screen as opposed to a safe distance away like everyone else.
>Dude, I know some people like the current wild area, but don't say this empty Hyrule Field will be taking hours of worth gameplay. It may not take hours for you, but for me I have a feeling it will. To each their own.
