I asked them to remove Megas and Z-moves and they delivered on it.
I asked them to add overworld encounters and they delivered on it.
I asked them to bring PSS back and they delivered on it.

You may have asked for those things but aside from the PSS I don’t think those were things “the fandom” was asking for. It anything most people were asking for more megas, whether or not that would be a good thing. Never heard anyone clamoring for overworld encounters either before LGPE unexpectedly sprang it and it seems like a pretty contested change.

Also are we sure the PSS is really back? I’m hesitant to believe that until we know more concrete details about its successor.

Of the two extremes the latter is way better. Games get leak around a week before release anyways so if you want spoilers you'll get them.

I think most people like to know what starter to get, depending on how it evolves.

Not just because they want more pokemon revealed. They just wanna know the main big ones like the starters, box legendary etc.

The argument wasn’t about whether or not it would be a good thing to listen to them, it was about whether or not they do.

For what it’s worth I agree that overworld encounters are better. The only issue I have with it is the lack of a convenient way to despawn them to make other things appear but otherwise I think they’re much better.

The problem is the lack of content. When a game has lots of new content you can reveal a lot without spoiling everything because there's still tons left to discover. When your game is a sham with barely anything new and worthwhile, then if you reveal an average amount of information it'll feel like you revealed everything before the games came out, but if you reveal little information it'll feel like people don't know what they are buying.
It really is not that hard to understand.
