Even if conversion is painstaking or has issues come up, the assets being converted aren't meant to be different when brought over or adjusted in such a way that requires they be overhauled entirely. I don't know how the engine DeNa used for Masters or reads the models or what the engine is, but it could be something simpler than what GF does as they've put together a new model format since transitioning to the Switch. If the models were made with Maya or mainstream modeling software using those formats and Masters is made in Unity like Pokemon GO for example, then there's no real conversion to be done in that sort of situation.
