Both of Octillery's designs are good I think. While the beta one looks more like a remoraid evolution I think the helmet looks kinda unnatural, though I do like how the bottom half of its body makes it look more tanklike.
Though for both they probably could have, say, gave it remoraid's palette to make it look more similar.
