My rule of thumb is more the /v/ seethes over a game, the better it is. Look at botw. Not a perfect game, but still amazing. I feel sword and shield will be really great in comparison to all the previous pokemon games. People are freaking out over stupid shit when the Pokemon series was never anything more than Nintendo's Madden: texture updates and updated roster. The series gets changes for the first time and people are just now realizing it's shit
