Considering the Affleck leak happened, no. They're probably just a bit more diligent about things like people taking photos or leaking actual material.
Either that or they already leaked and we just haven't realised it yet.

VII: Leaked months before release.
VI: Greninja actually leaked two weeks before release but nobody thought it was real at the time, other two starters released a few days before release iirc.
V: Wottergate happened two weeks before release, did it not?
IV: I can't remember if they leaked earlier, but I remember Japs playing and screenshotting the games a few days before release.
III: All I know is Blaziken was revealed before Torchic was.

Long story short, probably the gen I starters didn't leak because nobody cared enough at the time.

Basically this. A name is also a lot easier to change than a design, so those names might not even be final considering they were leaked 5 months ago.

I kinda like the idea of one pokemon having a different form in every region from now on. Meowth could be like the Eevee of regional forms.

the leak had some mistakes in it, the leaker might of meant that Meowth has a regional evolution, not a regional form since he listed it along side Sirfetch'd.
Also Meowth is almost a mascot cause of Team Rocket so no reason why it couldn't get another regional form, especially if they want to show that the same pokemon can have multiple forms, thus opening the doors to any pokemon having multiple forms.

they have multiple progressively more powerful dynamax forms that you gain as the story progresses
this goes for a majority of the new mons in the region

I really wanted to know how in the world those leakers get a bunch of this accurate information to begin with? Was there some informant working at Gamefreak who is passing all this info to the leakers? I’m still surprised that someone get a hold of the official concept art piece of the Gen 7 Starters Final Evos and leaked that online.
