Is Ohmori the reason current pokemon games are so shit? Would they be better if Unno or Morimoto were in charge? How much creative control do you think a director has in the decision making of a project?

He's responsible in the sense that he's the face of the project and being the source of criticism comes with the job. Of course pokemon is much bigger than just the director of a single main-line game and he has to work within the limits and rules that Nintendo and The Pokemon Company set. I just wonder how much the quality of the games can be determined by the actions of the director or if it's more determined by the culture and taste surrounding kids and video games at the time.

HG/SS were terrible remakes that did nothing to fix G/S/C before Kanto and BW2 were a step down from the previous games in all but Pokemon availability. Cease this fucking meme.
