"I don't care about X feature because I never use it" is a flawed way of thinking about pokemon. It's like saying "I don't care about Chipotle's lettuce having e.coli because I never order lettuce." While that may be true for you, think of all the people who either got e.coli from the lettuce or can't order lettuce anymore because of the disease. Besides, if one ingredient/part of the game is bad, that could be indicative of the rest of the game and what will be available and cut in the future.
