Game just looks boring to me and I have no misgivings for missing it. Often, what is imagined is better than the actual thing; this is what has happened for many during the marketing phases for XY, SM and USUM, who then come online to bitch about the games they bought after two weeks for the next 1-2 years. I'm perfectly content to just watch a let's play and get my fix to see the new pokemon there. Especially when GF has set a precedent that they like to leave things aside for the "third" version. If I buy Galar at all, I'd prefer the game that has updated content, movesets and move tutors, and more pokemon included. Pokemon like Yungoos with the ability Strong Jaw didn't even have the elemental fangs as egg moves until USUM, Togedemaru likewise with Iron head (to give to examples), and this is damn well on purpose.
That aside, dynamax isnt exciting to me, the new pokemon are fine but nothing more. The status quo stays the same in the area of the game I care about, battling: same stat system (albeit QoL improvements), same animations, same models as XY. When GF shakes things up in that department that doesnt involve gimmicks then I'll buy. But I know I'm not the demographic so it's ok.
