>>40354468It would force pokemon that need each move to do something other than the same thing as eachother to not be able to function nearly as well. If moves had diminishing returns for a game with a four move limit that would force players to not use moves that would work for their strategies and nstead to plan around a mechanic that punishes possibly using a move that's best for its situation. If a pokemon like say gliscor for instance has uturn roost facade and earthquake, that makes it far easier to just predict onto the facade and punish by sending out a flying mon. It has a check to that but because it literally has to change whta its attacking iwth because of a mechanic it straight up is forced to keep spamming a move thats getting weaker or to stop using it and chance the possibility of being switched on while using a useless move. On top of that spamming that move would just delay the inevitable, it arbitrarily forces glistor to just let itself possibly lose momentum either by forcing a useless move for the sake of it, weakening its current move, or by having gliscor leave for another mon that might be worse for the current job. There is no possible way to turn this into a good situation as far as I see it for gliscor just doing what it's meant to do.
