Yesterday I saw a thread about a good team for 2nd gen and had a lot of fun reading. (I didn't know KENYA was so busted)

I'm about to do a re-run of Emerald, but now that I've seen that thread I want some help to get a good team. Same thing as the GSC thread: No Salamence/Metagross or things that evolve/can be found way too late. I was thinking:

>Mudkip/Torchic:
I think the starter is a tie between Torchic & Mudkip. Both Blaziken and Swampert are really good in this game.
>Lotad/Makuhita:
If you pick Torchic, Lotad comes as a really nice partner typing-wise. I'm not sure about Makuhita tho, but it looks like a nice replacement for Blaziken's fighting type if you pick Mudkip.
>Ralts:
A chore to train at the beggining, but super manageable once it learns Confusion. Psychic type comes as strong as always so I think it's a good choice.

And that's as far as I go.

>Fly user:
I think both Swellow and Pelipper are pretty garbage. Is there any other Fly user that i'm missing? Something not as garbage? If i had to pick I'd take Swellow since Guts makes it insanely powerful.
>Mawile/Sableye:
I think they are pretty garbage. Maybe Sableye but I think its not worth it really cause its a stall god and its gonna be slow to train.
>Aron:
Level 42 to get Aggron seems pretty far but I think its a strong Pokemon once you get a Lairon. The 4x weakness to Fight & Ground scares me a little but it has insane defense.
>Poochyena/Absol:
Are they worth at all? Dark is special in this gen.
>Zigzagoon:
God tier HM slave + Pick up. Pretty bad to use but a good filler for your empty spots early game.
>Corpish:
Again, excellent attack stats but horrible typing in Dark/Water.
>Zangoose/Seviper/Solrock/Lunatone
I have no idea about these. Zangoose maybe?
>Electrike/Manectric?

Help is appreciated. Feel free to call me a faggot if you like the Treecko line and want to give me a good team for it. What i'm thinking rn is:
