I'd say buy a 3DS one instead and skip these until we fully know what's in them. Game Freak has been very secretive about these releases, but not in a good way.

Don't feel obligated to get every single mon if that's not really your style, but a game that allows you to get any that you desire will be a much better experience as a returning player.
