Pic related. I thought this thing was gonna suck and i only added it on my team to have a special attacker, but it turned out to be a bro and murder everything on its way.

A wild Liligant early in white 1 mopped the floor with my team and was about to deliver the final blow when I threw a pokeball out of desesperation and it worked. It carried the game afterwards. I will never forget it.

I'm doing a Black run right now, and figured I'd just throw an Emolga on my team as a placeholder until I found something better, but it's surprisingly holding its own well into the game. Acrobatics and Volt Switch obliterates everything that gets in its way. It earned its place on my final team, even though I also have another flying type, Sigilyph (who's also surprising the hell out of me).

Florges. Flabebe evolves super late, has crap stats and crap moves. I carried it hard until at least level 30.
I caught a random meditite in omega ruby and had it on my team cause why not, until i decided to use it. It just had rock smash as a usable move, but coming off of its huge attack it made short work out of a lot of pokemon early in the game. Medicham avsolutely decimated everything as well to the point where I just did a solo run with it and boxed everything else except goon and pelipper.

Kingler ended up stomping Red's Snorlax to death in Crystal, very clutch. Also Staraptor was the heaviest hitter in my first Platinum playthrough, on a team that had an Infernape and a Garchomp. Very surprising.

I'm replaying Sun right now, and Prankster Cottonee was actually pretty useful during the Hala battle. Kept using Growth and Fairy Wind to knock Hala's Pokemon out. The only issue with Hala's team

There was also a time when I used Ledian in the trial against Hala in an earlier Sun playthrough. Ledian completely walled his team and Crabrawler's All-Out Pummeling did 8 damage with Reflect up.
