This “leak” predicted that there are 3 trailers left and that the next one was the Kanto Gigantamax trailer but it mainly focused on Sinnoh remakes supposedly coming next year. If the trailer has Kanto Gigantamax forms is this legit?

We've had a trailer for sirfetchd and another for Ponyta since then. Also it makes absolutely zero sense that they would advertise a new game for next year when we are at the cusp of release for the first real mainline Pokemon game on a console. The sinnoh pandering should be a dead give away

Next year's game, whatever it is, is no way in hell still in pre-development. Even if it's a remake they still have to effectively rebuild Sinnoh from scratch since it's no longer grid-based.

I’d argue that those weren’t really full length trailers though. They’re both under a minute.

Also, it doens’t say that they’ll advertise the games anytime soon, it says they’ll reveal the games in late summer. So maybe August or September.

They're not waiting that long. People forget that X&Y were only 7 months old when ORAS were confirmed.

If Sinnoh is coming Q4 2020, which it more than likely will, there will be an announcement in May or June of next year.

It seems pretty obvious that the Sinnoh remakes on Switch will be in Generation 8 and include the rest of the National Dex that was not included in SWSH (given, if they include ~500 Pokemon for SWSH, would leave only another 400 to "model/animate" for the next games, which I'm sure they've already been working on).

Source: Logic, and my ass. This seems most reasonable to me though. This would make the Sinnoh remakes even more marketable given they'll include all the other Pokemon that people will have been missing in SWSH.

If those Unova, Kalos, and Alolan Pokemon are in SwSh, then that leaves Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Pokemon that won’t be in there and will be included in the remakes.

ORAS didn’t have any new Pokemon in it regional dex that werent’ in the originals. Except for maybe evolutions that came out in gen 4
