Mothra had already been mentioned in a leak thread claiming Volcorona got a Mothra form, and while that clearly wasn’t true I also don’t think that this is a clear indicator that this person intended it to be Butterfree and wasn’t just piggybacking on popular leak threads at the time. If we see a stickbug, wizard penguin, or fruit bat, I will gladly put aside my skepticism and eat my words, but for now I’m not fully sold.
I’d have also said a Machamp gigantamax would be enough to convince me but at this rate I’d be more surprised if a popular Kanto Pokémon didn’t get a gigantamax.
