I've been a tester on MANY games. Testers don't know SHIT. You know exactly what section of the game you're testing, and that's it. Oftentimes, you're not even allowed/physically capable of testing beyond a specific point in the game, to enforce confidentiality.

In such a case, he not only would have no way of knowing about Dexit, but he'd have no way of knowing that Dexit would be a thing to be known, because the version of the game he got was inherently limited for testing purposes.
