Honestly most early route mons are pretty good.

platinums barely has bad pokemon, most are good or underrated bros.

There is zero reason to catch Budew instead of Roselia. You can end up missing moves because the damn thing doesnt evolve early enough if it isnt happy.

Shellos makes for a good team member, it becomes a Water/Ground-type after evolving and gets Water Pulse and Mud Bomb as early level up moves
If you want to use it I'd also recommend trying to get one with Storm Drain for it's ability

here is your team, sorry it has both 2 fire types and 2 rock types, and nothing that can learn fly, but at least you got a water type that can learn surf/waterfall/defog, so you can atually beat the game, good luck!
