I'm moving to other monster collecting games for a while, like digimon and yw, and later on I'll see if pokemon is worth getting back to. Does anyone know if the new Dragon Quest IX has monster collecting in it? Iirc DQ was the first monster collecting game.

There's monster riding in XI but I don't think there's any collecting. There's supposed to be a Dragon Quest Monsters game coming out in a year or so though.
