>>40395166>Guess you can't see his charisma and that's fine I supposeBecause charisma is completely irrelevant to monster design. These are collectible monsters, not playable characters after all. They are Tabulas Rasa that can be imprinted with any personality you wish. Do you remember that D/P episode that convincingly turned cute little Togepi into a psychopathic shithead? Well, that is possible because of what i stated. Any Pokemon can behave any way you want it in the land of imagination. The introduction of natures was supposed to let you indulge in that while also offering an excuse for stat variations. If anything, having something that is so specifically flamboyant is a hindrance as it makes all other nature variations less believable.
>Eyes aren't the entire designWhich is why i mentioned 3 aspects in total.
>Soul is part of it as wellI've never seen this word used in a non-buzzword way. It's the zoomer way of saying "je ne sais quoi", as in "it has that special something", but you can't say what it is because there's nothing actually special about it except for the fact that it appeals to you personally.
>His color scheme is similar to Magmar's in terms of complexityMagmar has 2 key tones (orange, yellow) plus black accents, a similar composition to most of the Gen 1 cast. Incin has 4 keytones (red, black, gray, yellow) with 2 accents: green and orange, which makes it a mess even for modern designs.
>Not seeing the cartoon physiologyBalloon-like tube limbs like toons of yore that are way less detailed than the chest make it clashy and tacky.
You can like what you like. Incineroar isn't even the worst design in Alola, but he's pretty awful. It's okay tho. I like a few shit designs too. I just don't try to convince people they're good.
>>40395598I'm only one of those 3 replies, anon. Lots of different people hate Incineroar.
