I haven't purchased a pokémon game new/day1 since ORAS. I also haven't been on here since the lets go shitshow, so forgive me if i'm not up to the current knowledge on absolutely everything. I still have a ways to go to fully leave everything behind, but i'd like to think i'm making progress.
I came across the new reveals about 30 mins ago, and my first impulse was to come here to see the damages. Finally, i'm seeing a general outrage for this godforsaken series outside of vp. It took like what, 6 years? 8? fuck man. I always envisioned feeling some sort of joy when seeing this shitshow finally burn to the ground and instead i just feel kinda meh. I've been with the series since my toddler ass saw the anime in the tv back in 1998/9 or idk. Is this what overcoming addiction feels like? I might not feel happiness or schadenfreude but I do feel a lot better.
Anyone who's thinking of jumping ship: do it. You'll be better for it. Your life will be a lot less weighed down by the customer loyalty imprinted on you since childhood.
