Gf can't put together a competant yet alone functional game. Nintendo and TPC have been giving them a far too long leash for far too long. Other industries and franchises have to put over twice the effort into churning out a decent game but thanks to GFs mindless consumer fanbase they can coast on minimal effort garbage every few years followed by the "definitive" version a year later. GF's practices are outdated. They are very out of touch with everything related to game design.
I just come to this board for the goalies anyway.

Agreed.
I would also love to see Showdown shutdown by GF. The competative community is what keeps dragging down these games by demanding the battle system never changes.

I stopped buying them when oras came out and was a pile of shit and if I'd known X and Y would be so terrible I'd have not bought that either.
This game was pretty much my hope for the series and that was dashed. Don't own a switch so wont even have friends buying it for me as a gift like Sun.

Umm, no, what they said is, "They don't want a crappy game" I personally love the old games, and will keep coming back here for older game content. However the current gen is shaping up to be craptastic. If this is the state of the games going forward I will not be buying any future games. I will still come here for past content tho.
