The same, probably? This stuff is decided months in advance, it's not like they come into the office every Monday and throws darts on what and what not to reveal that week. They're clearly making an effort to not reveal too much this time around, and I don't really buy into the idea that there isn't that much to show. Even if they weren't showing Pokemon they could be revealing new towns, routes, gyms, characters, etc. They're just being very selective this time around.

I don't know, but I sure would've LOVED to see that shitshow reaction when it released missing half the Pokémon but with 100 keki and kare taking up space and dev time.

The game literally always builds upon itself, though. The only exceptions are NES games being removed in Wild World, which everyone always gripes about, and City Folk being barely anything more than a port of Wild World, which reflected in its sales.
Imagine if City Folk was not only a shallow retread upon the standard Animal Crossing formula that only added shallow surface-level features, but also removed things added in Wild World such as changing your hair, your hat/glasses/etc, and had half of the furniture to make up for the increase in graphical quality. That's what the equivalent to your standard Pokemon title would be.

I feel like this is the one trailer that wasn't necessary. I suppose its fair to inform customers of early purchase bonuses, but revealing Leon's gigantimax ace was a mistake. We were one month away from release and they could have easily withheld this for the game, it would have been much more exciting for a climactic battle.

I feel they're showing too little now. It feels like we still barely know anything about the areas, new Pokemon, new moves, etc. It's frustrating. I WANT to be excited for the games. I hope they show a bit more going into November. I just want at least 70 new Pokes but at this rate they will barely hit 40.

Well, correction. Those are extremely minor features by Animal Crossing's standards.
Pokemon barely adds anything, so it's a LOT more noticeable when they cut something like, say, walking with your Pokemon, because every game is exactly the same. Compare that to Animal Crossing where every new title aside from City Folk completely changes up the game.

They brought it up then because they knew people would eventually forget about it if they just pretended it didn’t exist from then onwards, and it was working up until this trailer. Now they‘ve shot themselves in the foot by shoving an obscene amount of Kanto pandering into one trailer right after the last two reveals were also just more Kanto pandering, which was made even worse by the fact that people were expecting some love for more than just Kanto Pokémon this time around when one of the first Pokémon to get the treatment was a Hoenn line.

The last SEVEN reveals were all Kanto Pokémon with a new coat of paint.

People have a reason to be angry when TPCi and Gamefreak seem to be more interested in sucking Kanto’s dick again than showing off new features and Pokémon one month away from the release of Sword and Shield. It’s just rubbing salt in the wound when we got a second Kanto remake last year that removed tons of features just to try and reel in old fans again.
