I love how people are complaining about Kanto being pandered to too much, but Unova has the most mons in the regional Dex. So why does it get a pass?

This. I dislike Charizard. Have since the '90s. Always been more of a Blastoise guy.
But I don't mind NPCs using him. Hell, I enjoy having more opportunities to wreck that fat piece of shit.

Rotom was one of my favorite Pokemon prior to Gen 7. Rotom is now among my least favorite Pokemon.
I dread the Sinnoh remakes, that they may ruin more things for me.

What are the numbers like proportional to how many new Pokemon each Gen added?
Unova added the most new Pokemon in one go so makes sense that it would have the most pokemon in SWSH by raw number, you'd have to look at the % to see what's being over/underrepresented

By percentage it still has the most. It has nearly 60 Pokemon confirmed which is 37% of the Unova dex while Kanto only has 45 Pokemon confirmed, which is less than a third of its dex.
