I'm getting sick of these DLC type content, just like $50 for Mew. Games are already 50% more expensive than the 3ds games. This seems to become worse for each new title

It's literally just a bonus for people who played previous games, nothing nearly as bad as the actual games free $50 mew. Preorder bonuses don't cost anything either, so how can you compare this to dlc?

Nah, you just need save data. You could borrow them from a friend or even start a free Gamefly trial for them.

Paid DLC has been a thing since day 1 in Pokemon, with version exclusives.

Tajiri, bless his autistic, naiive soul, didn't intend or envision them as an artificial restriction to squeeze for more money. He intended it as a tool to facilitate friendship and social interaction.

Now Pokemon goes out of its way to introduce convoluted shit that allows mass autismo to balloon out of control, whether it's for collectors or competitors.

Imagine being a kid who gets the game later on and saw the trailer. He would be able to use 2/5 of the showcased mons. More than half shown in the trailer Is locked behind a pay requirement. I understand the bonus and rewarding aspect, but they overplayed their hand here in my opinion.
We still need to know exactly how It works though. You'll receive them in the wild area, does It mean we can catch more than one after being unlocked?
Can we breed them and will the bred also be able to Gigantamax? Can we trade them? Can you tell if the traded mon will be able to Gigantamax or do we have to trust each other hoping not to get fucked?

Are people here really so retarded that they dont just A) borrow someones copy of the game to make a record on your switch or B) just buy a used copy from a store like Gamestop then return it within a week after you make a save file to get your money back?

You have to buy Pokeball Plus for Mew since Mew won't be in any Wifi event this generation and Mew won't be transferrable across previous generations = $50

People who skipped GO and LGPE will only miss Meltan and Melmetal.
