Charizard has another Gigantamax form. The one that was shown yesterday is exclusive to Sword version.
The Shield version will have flames swirling around its body. It's Max-move will cause Charizard to take reduced damage from incoming attacks for the next four turns.
Bulbasaur and Squirtle lines are not found in the Galar region, unlike Charmander line. This is explained through in-game lore, and the concept of 'starter' pokemon. Certain species are picked out by regional professors to be given out to starting trainers, depending on their rarities and types. However, since the Bulbasaur and Squirtle lines have never been seen in the Galar region, the Charmander line is not considered as a starter Pokemon either. It is similar to 3-staged families like Sewaddle, Poliwag, Oddish, Budew, Spheal, etc. in the Galar region. Charmander can be found in the wild, and Leon will gift you a Charmander that is capable of Gigantamaxing when it evolves into Charizard.
