- TPC, Nintendo and Game Freak are taken aback at the backlash from a good chunk of the Pokemon fanbase towards Sword and Shield. Felt that the graphical improvement from Sun and Moon was enough, felt that the Wild Area would've made up for the dex culling and felt that Dynamax and Gigantamax would've killed any interest in Mega Evolutions and Z-Moves ever returning.
- Expect Mega Evolutions to return in the very near future and become a permanent part of future games and expect Dynamax and Gigantamax to never return ever post Gen-8. Decision hasn't been made in regards to Z-Moves returning yet, but there is hesitance towards doing that due to the fact it was always intended to be an Alola exclusive mechanic.
- Monolith Soft are going to be brought on board for the Gen 9 games to help with graphics and region design.
- National Dex will likely be permanently gone, but Pokemon Home is now going to be getting a Showdown-esque battle simulator so people can use any Pokemon they wish in battles there.
- The Gen 9 games are going to have free camera control throughout the entire game and there will be a toggle in the settings to allow people to choose which encounter type they prefer (random or overworld)
- There is immense hesitance BTS to put a stop to the constant stream of Kanto fanservice due to fans of the Kanto region heavily bashing the designs of the new Pokemon introduced in BW. If you want that to stop you need to start dislike bombing every instance of Kanto fanservice included in games from here on out.
- The games being worked on right now are Diamond and Pearl traditional remakes (called TemporalDiamond and CelestialPearl) and Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Togepi. Sword and Shield's "third game" has been cancelled to try and squeeze in some of Platinum's post-game elements into the DP remakes.
