In the older games, which I assume you zoomers aren't familiar with, there was a sense of accomplishment once you finally managed to reach the name rater and "unlock" nickname changing. It was a nice little mental pat on the back when you remembered where it was for future usage. Now that any dumbass who can walk into any Poke Center can do it? That's the very definition of casualization.

I do agree the immersion factor goes down, but they already removed the region in favor of cutscenes so I don’t know how much lower the immersion can get. Fuck this game regardless but being able to do all Pokémon functions at any center is a step forward

Well, there is the rare situation where you breed a female Pokemon with a male with four egg moves and one of the female's moves overwrites one of your egg moves because Game Fuck coded it as an egg move for no reason. But you could just use a TM to replace the move with something that won't pass down.

It's not casualization and having unlimited bag space is a GREAT thing. However, I do agree that they sould've let the option to leave items in the pc because I do agree that I would like to find the shit I actually use easier. BW2 did well with its special pocket at least.

Move deleters are so late in earlier gens because HM's are a shitty ass mechanic that forces them to design the rest of the game making sure you cant get stuck. So they're forced to make move deleter a lategame feature

There are a couple instances where it would be bad.

It would be a shit change.

Someone gives you their dog you don't just change their name so that should never be possible but if you're traded what is essentially a stray without a nickname then yeah you should be able to and no time like the present but to make it so if they're making changes to it anyway.
