Face it, VP is just trolls. There are definitely reasonable critiques and criticisms, but nobody wants to admit that they're still excited about the games. They can't come to terms with the fact that they can both HAVE disappointments in a game but also still like things about the franchise and be excited for it.
The truth is, a lot of us are just getting a bit fatigued by pokemon. We blame the style, etc, but it's a turn based monster hunter RPG aimed predominately at kids and that's what it's always going to be. It's normal to be fatigued by a game, it's okay to both like a franchise but also admit that you need a break for a season because it's feeling repetitive. That happens with all games - COD, Assasins Creed, etc. And maybe you just HAVE outgrown the series, and that's okay too.
