There shouldnt have even been an alliance or war between two sides in the first place. It's a video game.
Parts were bound to suck, other parts were bound to be enjoyable.
I respect these reviews for pointing out both what they liked and didn't like. We all knew the graphics were underwhelming, it's a flaw that should be pointed out. But there's also improvements that, while not impressive, are a good step for the series to take. We can discuss both.

They don't need to pay them anything. The majority of them are happy to consume absolute shit especially if it keeps them in the good graces of TPCi for things like review copies. Then there are those who are afraid to talk badly because of the rabid fanbase that can't understand constructive criticism. The remaining few get little recognition because TPCi and the rabid fans have buried them.
