If anyone is looking for a game that will have the same magic in it that pokemon once had, theyll never find such a game.
There wont be a new pokemon-ish game that brings what everyone wants. If people are so stuck on pokemon that they need a game just like it, i dont know what to tell them.

Monsterhunter Stories was the best pokemon game i've played in years. Unfortunately the chance of it getting a sequel is next to none. And there are no good pokemon clones that catch that same feel.

I have other interests, I don't need something to fill a "Pokemon niche". I have Doom and other games, I have guns, I have gardening, I have music. I've left this series before for years at a time, I have no problem doing something else until the suck goes away.

I'm trying out Yokai Watch 3. I played the second one and it became one of my favorite games ever. I'm skipping the first one because I've been told that the second one is better in every way while the third one is very different.
These games are VERY different to Pokemon though, despite constant comparison.

Yo-kai Watch is pretty damn fun.
Due to financial shenanigans I haven't been able to get the 3rd game, but 1 and 2 were great.
And yes you were right to skip the 1st game since the 2nd also starts of as a recap of the first in case you need to catch up.
After that it becomes its own story.
I hope YW4 does well, I'd like to see this series flourish because it's pretty much dead in the west.

why was joker 2 so underwhelming compared to 1? somehow the story/gameplay didnt keep me hooked. maybe it's cause i played it on an emulator, while playing on a ds adds a lot to the feel imo
