It was ok.
Some bad things
Cliche, cringe, (((interracial love interest))), overused themes like an American parade
But it could have been much worse. At least the pokémon look somewhat good and Mewtwo inspired respect, it was true to the source world unlike DB Evolution, had some decently fun moments and proved that you can have mature themes in the Pokémon world like illegal battles and drug abuse. GameFreak even took some notes from the movie for inspiration like city decoration elements. I hope there is a sequel that will improve on the premise.
