Oh god wtf I only just noticed that. That's atrocious.

Purugly is my answer anyway. At least Skuntank got to be in XY's dex and has a way better typing. Purugly's only other appearance was in mirage spots in ORAS. At least something like Goldeen or Psyduck which don't get buffed appear almost all the time for no fucking reason.

Only as an island scan in all the Alola games and in mirage spots in ORAS. Thing is, that's not only still more appearances than Purugly, but it also appeared way more commonly in it's debut generation and wasn't excluded to just Pearl.

How on earth did the physical/special split ruin it? Sure, its physical movepool was pretty garbage but fire itself was already a special type pre-split. Best it had was maybe shadow ball and physical hidden power.
