Honestly if it was more of a remake of FR/LG, including the Sevii Islands (all of them, not just the starting three), then I'd probably be pretty content with it I think. The Go-catching mechanic's a bit meh but it's not a dealbreaker, and most other issues I have with it are fairly minor and mostly just balance tweaks. Sprinkle in some Johto/maybe hoenn mons into the Sevii Islands, even if you restrict it to postgame, and boom.
