What if the games end up having multiple antagonists all with their own individual motives instead of a single main villain with an army of dumb drones?

Not really. Both Maxie and Archie are the big bads of their respective games complete with an army of drones who do everything for their leaders' sakes. One side not being villainous in a different version doesn't change that.

Okay i think i get what you mean now.
To put it more in terms of some elder scrolls factions, youre looking for less of a dunmer/argonians or stormcloak/imperial interaction and more of groups that are just doing whatever the fuck it is they want alongside each other like thieves guild and dawnguard
