>>40441392It's not like you'd necessarily have anyway of knowing that Infernape and Staraptor could make the game much easier if you're playing through it blind, and every game is potentially very easy with prior knowledge anyway. It's not like the exp share, these pokemon aren't handed to you. There's a good chance you'll end up trivializing many battles with one, the other or both, but the same goes for the opposite.
And the choice to not use the best pokemon isn't always motivated by the desire for challenge either, maybe I just want to give other pokemon a chance.
