The only valid options are that it is, or that it is but only in lore. Animals existing in the Pokemon world was retconned after gen 2 at the VERY latest. Plus it's clearly based on a dart and it has a curly mouth, it's obviously not supposed to be a realistic fish.

That bothers me even more because now you can't fix it by flipping the fish around in photoshop. Also show it was intentionally designed to fly that way, and not just an error

literally just used as a point of reference for the player, has nothing to do with the world the game is set in

it's a shelder, and it's not on slowbros tail its the bro in slowbro
its still an individual slowpoke and shelder but when attached they are together slowbro. If they become unattached they are no longer slowbro and go back to being slowpoke and shelder

doesn't disprove that animals exist in the poke world. The fact is, they're mentioned in the dex and there are regular ass butterflies in X and Y.
