>>40447050>>Aside from aesthetic appearances, having a higher special attack stat, and a slightly different movepoolYou're straight up naming multiple reasons why both deserve a spot in the game.
>but to illustrate an example of two Pokemon that are almost exactly the same that are redundant for all intents and purposes. This is beyond stupid, but let's pretend I agree with you, even if the two Pokemon are redundant there are still people out there that like Stoutland and people who like Stantler. A huge part the fun in Pokemon is having free control over who you let on your team, I personally dropped Herdier in my first BW run for an Audino, but that doesn't mean Herdier should be fucking cut from the games, I just like Audino more because it's cute, just like someone might like Stantler more because it's rare or Stoutland more because it's a dog. Lastly, if you're arguing that similar things shouldn't exist why the fuck is Gamefreak selling two near identical versions of the exact same game?
Your argument of "similar things shouldn't exist" is also contradicted by the ingame selection, for example, Pikachu, Mimikyu and Morpeko are all in the game, why? They're all Pikachu clones so only Pikachu should be in the game, right? Wooloo is pure normal, but there's also Meowth, who's also pure normal. Why?
>>They can get rid of all but the new Pokemon, and I'd still play the newest titles. Peak domestication, congrats on selling your soul to billionaires.
>>I'm not in the mood for fighting for something that can't be changed, or setting myself up for hating a game prematurely just because a few features and Pokemon are not present. I don't want any of that to sour my experience of playing the game. But that's just me.
Yes god forbid people are critical of games that cost $60.
