Yeah, no.

He, along with the magma frog, completely fucked competitive play forever. Not to mention I wouldn't have too high hopes for a lot of legendaries outside of new/Mewtwo getting in after the everything with the primals and dusk name necrozma.

I'm positively ecstatic to see every single one of them go and see the more creative strategies people come up with.

Yeah because past generations, and even future ones without genie of healthy meta, and magma frog, were better than the ones now.
Look at LGPEs "meta" it's mandatory to have Melmetal. Then look at GSC, and RBY metas.
There might be something that just makes some mons mandatory to have on a team.

Reminder that GF didn't expect people to use Aegislash as a special attacker. These guys don't really test "serious" battling before any release. Afterwards they gather the inputs and some of the most vocal ones are addressed, see Talonflame's nerf.
I would honestly love to see one of their reunions about what to change in the meta, shit must be funny.

Yeah it's called bad balancing.

Remember how great pre-bank XY meta was? It was great, not to mention a breath of fresh air.

SwSh is guaranteed to be something similar, and I love that even garchomp hasn't been confirmed to be in yet. The new meta is going to be the most interesting it's been in ages.
