I remember feeling this underwhelmed when I finished my XY playthrough as well. Why do all nu-pokemon games feel so underwhelming? They have like one or two comfy spots that are nice places to just be in and then the rest of the game is a snoozefest. For XY, the spots were Laverre and Dendemille. For SM, it was a small off-route area on Melemele or Alkala. Why can't the rest of the region (and game, for that matter) have the feel of being a memorable, nice area to be in?
