THIS was the perfect opportunity to retire him from the anime and make room for a new protagonist. Instead, he's STILL IN.
So, even winning a league and defeating an undefeated trainer doesn't count as becoming a Pokémon Master? FUCK. This cunt will NEVER EVER become a Pokémon Master, no matter what.

The way I understand it is that Pokemon Master isn't a title that can be awarded but rather you have be acknowledged as such. Like a Champion among Champions.

He's done this several times, just sayin'
and for the res,t you're half retarded. It's a retconned series with a different Ash. So they can have a new blank canvas but also cash in on brand recognition. However I say half, because they have Gou in this one, who is equally important apparently. They may be waning us and will slowly filter Ash out, but I doubt it.

Being a Pokemon master doesn't mean winning a League. Beating the Champion probably doesn't even mean your a Pokemon master. Ash conveniently won a League where an E4 and Champion doesn't exist.

This league win means as much as Orange League. It only serves to throw a bone to Ash. It's more or less a pity win.

Maybe because people want something more than just a dumb kids show on repeat. Just because it's a show for kids doesn't mean they can't do anything creative or interesting. I agree with you on the rest though, if you're still watching at this point and you believe it will change, you're just foolish. Ash and Pikachu are brand icons, for better or worse we're suck on this never ending journey to become Pokemon master, till the end of time.

What would actually change by replacing the MC? Only a handful of other chrarcters are replaced alongside and now we have a character that doesn't have a story dragged for 20 years, but instead a nobody kids and adults don't recognize.
At this point it's better to just keep him.
