Nothing is connected, everything is bullshit, new seasons come out and all of a sudden everything is different and just about everything in the past doesn’t matter anymore, that’s why Ash has a completely new companion every generation and then they’re gone forever to be replaced by a new one. Nothing matters and there isn’t any consequence to anything.
