What? It's great animation but a lot of people hate the style. But people don't seem to know what animation is and think that taking a blurry screenshot of a cropped in-between frame from a compressed YouTube video of Ash having smaller eyes is evidence of bad animation. Getting a poor picture of someone as they're moving and in the middle of blinking doesn't mean that person is ugly and incapable of standing normally. Animation is the actual MOVEMENT and good animation conveys movement and momentum well.

The animation in S/M is honestly just-okay for the most part. A lot of the fights aren't as dynamic as they were in XY, but all of the important/big fights are just as good (and in a couple cases better).

The thing with the art style is that when you actually watch the show, you stop noticing it. I hated S/M's art style with a passion but I started it about a month ago and like 3 eps in didn't even notice it anymore.

This. The anime as a whole doesn't have the most consistent quality. I think it's more important to recognize who's directing. Even the earliest episodes of the anime had some memorable stuff, under the right people.

Sun and moon has great animation for. I just don't dig Ash's design for it. And while it has nice slice of life episodes I also miss the feeling of adventuring around a region, even if that usually just boils down to "walking through a forest until something happens".

You never asked me. And if you do, I would just tell you to just go through Sakugabooru if you want the highlights.
And if you actually watch the anime, you'd notice that outside of action Sakuga, S&M has better animation that the other seasons when it comes to non action too. It's not necessarily some Hyouka tier shit everytime they move, but it's certainly much more than your average talking heads you see in 90% of other anime, XY included.

Man i just wish sun and moon has less ranom comedy eps and less of the the class faffin about and more awesome animated fights like this one. The anime overall was fine but it just lacked good fights.

However it does have one of the most heart wrenching scenes with stoutland passing awayfor me anyways as the episode happened the same day my grandmother passed away and then the episode where they go into the mists and see stoutland again aired on her birthday
