Sure they're cute digimon-esque fishes but they're not named Digimon characters that appear outside of that attack.
>>40461829I don't have access to it anymore but TPC's marketing bible was posted a long time back and that was one of the key details. You can't refer to real world animals, and you can't call Pokemon animals. Now Gamefreak themselves have broken this on a number of occasions (XY features Butterflies as part of scenery, XY features fish as food, SS features sausage and meat) but when asked directly they avoid it due to TPC's guidelines. People not eating Pokemon I know is another thing on that list but Gamefreak themselves have broken that in-game before despite dancing around it during marketing.
