We've gotten so little info that I haven't even pre-ordered yet. How can I know which one to get when they've given us so little to go on?
The hype train has been so dull that I'm not even bothered about it. I was all aboard the hype train when it was announced, but a month out and I'm pretty chilled on it.
I'd make the decision on release day when we know everything

If you're really gonna buy these games then get Shield. Always get the less popular version of the two because when you do your version exclusives automatically hold more value. There won't be as many people with the shield exclusive pokemon or maybe even exclusive items so you can pull more weight with them on the GTS or in negotiations (if they ever come back) than you could with Sword exclusives.
