I haven't given up on Pokémon like you have kid, when you grew up and realised Pokémon wasn't growing with you. I also seem to be one of the few people on this board who legitimately does not hate one pokémon design. I'll be honest, There's a lot of them I think are uninteresting or boring to me, but I don't also expend any energy crying about how any of them, much less the new additions to the series are bad or unworthy of being part of it.

Not him but when I was a teenager I cried and whined all the time about how MY Pokemon were better and how the new ones were all shit but at this point I like most of those Pokemon I used to hate, and everything is at least a decent enough design. True maturity is understanding you don't have to like everything and that not liking something doesn't mean you should hate it.

You don't think things can get worse? Last game removed abilities and held items and stripped away every pokemon that wasn't gen 1 and added 2 with Go integration. The supposed gift mew costs $50 and is atrached to a shitty gimmick motion controller. That could very well become the standard. We are far from the bottom but we're at the point where we'll never see the light again.

It's probably be one of my least favorite Pokemon revealed so far but some people like it. I can dislike something but accept that it's okay for others to like it. Complaining or crying about how Duraludon is shit and how my Pokemon were better just feels like a waste of time. It's not going to remove Duraludon from the game, it's not going to shift the design philosophy of the games. And there are people that do like it and that's okay too. Like I said I don't have to like everything and making sure everyone knows I'm not a fan of something is just a waste of time. I'd rather talk about the Pokemon I do like and focus on positive things. It doesn't make the negatives go away, but it does make enjoying something a better experience.

Basically this.
Usually I'll see a design and think "wow, that's underwhelming/bad", and then I'll see it in action and start to like it more.
That's what happened with Impidimp.
With this fucking thing though I thought it looked dumb at first, but then I saw how it moves and attacks and my opinion of it just plummeted.
It's downright fucking retarded.

Reminder: XY were actually test runs, games slapped together because they just finished the models and they needed something by the holidays, but when they sold dramatically better than BW, passion project games that are much more polished and complete than most other games in the series, something broke in GF. You can see the difference between pre and post Gen 6 GF, they realized effort doesn't sell.
