2. Kanto. Has the best start of all leagues, it was on the peak of Pokemania, seeing Ash using his boxed pokemon was great, but Team Rocket ruining everything and Charizard being a cunt was a kick in the balls, at this point Ash was just a rookie so you could understand why he didn't win that one.
3. Sinnoh. It was cool till they decided to put Tobias out of nowhere. Infernape's story had a good ending in the awaited final battle vs Paul, but that was all about it.
4. Kalos, Had the most consistent and fluid animation of all leagues, for that reason the amount of off-screen battles was huge, all the spotlight was on Greninja who couldn't defeat Charizard at the end, I mean they had 3 battles and all of them ended in a victory for Alain, this was the worst cocktease from the writers.
5. Hoenn, Strong start, boring rivals, before the final battle Pikachu defeated TR's Meowth like hundred of times so seeing it losing to one was underwhelming.
6. Johto, This was the moment to redeem Kanto Ash, he was more experienced, his Charizard finally listened to him, he finally beat Gary, but this opportunity ended wasted in that horrible pattern that would last more than 20 years.
